This is an EARLY BETA ENROLLMENT for a course about telling time and expressing tense in American Sign Language. The content is NOT 100% COMPLETE, but you can sign up today to get in at the earlybird price, in exchange for your patience and feedback as course lessons become available to you. The only prerequisite is having taken the Beginner Foundations Course: American Sign Language Made Simple. This Time course will build on the foundational skills and vocabulary learned in that course. In this next-level program, you'll learn to tell about when, how often, how long, and how quickly things happen.

Currently, the course includes SIX (6) modules, covering the curriculum listed below. I'm just polishing up the activities, closed captions, and a final course-end review. I'll also consider adjustments, based on beta student feedback.

Meredith (known as "ASLMeredith" on Instagram and YouTube) is a NY-State certified instructor of ASL with an M.A. in Teaching ASL as a Foreign Language from Columbia University, and B.A. in Linguistics with a focus on sign languages and certificate in ASL from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a published author in the Gallaudet University Press research journal "Sign Language Studies". She has ten years of experience teaching, tutoring, and offering private lessons in ASL. When does the course start and finish?
The lessons are self-paced, so you can learn on your own schedule. You also get to keep the course forever, even as more lessons get added. There are currently 3 modules, and another 3 or 4 modules will be added over the course of 2022-2023.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
Are there any prerequisites?
The only prerequisite is having taken ASLMeredith's Beginner Foundations Course: American Sign Language Made Simple. This Time course will build on the foundational skills and vocabulary learned in that course.
When will the rest of the course be complete?
All primary lesson content is ALREADY in the course. Hurrah! The things that may be added in the coming months include: Closed captions, quizzes, additional signs, improved practice activities. However, all the lessons and exercises are already there, ready for you.
Is this class just like your beginner course?
This class is similar to the beginner course in all ways regarding lesson format and teaching style. If you found the beginner foundations course easy to learn from, then you'll likely feel similarly about Telling Time. The key DIFFERENCE to be aware of is that this time class does not (yet) have module-end quizzes. Individual lessons do have practice exercises for you to check your understanding, but the modules do not conclude with self-grading quizzes. This is a feature that may be added in the future.
